We collaborate closely with Build In Tulsa (www.buildintulsa.com) to utilize its extensive program and resources in supporting our Clients/Founders. Beginning in 2024, Sankofa is providing matching funds for the annual Build In Tulsa 1921 Award winners. The 1921 Award commemorates the tragedy of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre by honoring those who carry that spirit of entrepreneurship on today.
Sankofa is aligned closely with the mission of Build in Tulsa which is to close the racial wealth gap in America by building the infrastructure for an equitable economy. Rooted in the legacy of Black Wall Street, Build In Tulsa is committed to providing opportunities for minority entrepreneurs who have historically been denied resources and funding. Build In Tulsa provides entrepreneurs with a network of accelerators, mentoring, education, networking, and direct financial assistance to build community and strategic partnerships.
